Name
Fall in Love with Birding
Description
Come and celebrate the first day of fall by getting outside and falling in love with birding. We will start out in the classroom with a brief introduction to birds that are commonly found in this region, and we will discuss tips and tricks for identifying these birds by sight and sound. The use of binoculars and field guides will also be covered, as well as citizen science projects such as e-Bird and the Christmas Bird Count. Then, we will head outside to practice what we have learned and to meet some of the wild birds that call Callaway Gardens home. This is a basic, beginner’s birding course for those new to birding. You are welcome to bring your own binoculars, or a pair will be provided for you. This workshop includes admission to Callaway Gardens. In the event of inclement weather, this workshop will be cancelled.
