Canning 101

Description

As the end of summer draws near, learn to preserve the taste of sweet summer harvests with this introductory course on the basics of canning as a tool for food preservation.  Participants will enjoy lunch from the Azalea Market while observing a demonstration on how to make tomato sauce and blackberry jam using various canning methods.  Pickling as a form of food preservation will also be discussed. 

Location: Meet in the lobby of the Lodge
