Name

Bat House Building & Bat Chat

Description

Bats play a significant role in our ecosystem, and it is becoming more difficult for them to locate natural roost sites due to habitat loss and degradation. In this workshop, participants will be constructing bat houses to mount in their very own backyards to provide safe shelter for bats, as well as a place for them to raise their young. In exchange, these beneficial creatures will provide an all-natural, chemical-free solution to insect population control. Workshop participants will also learn about native bat species, the benefits of bats, how to identify the most common species of bats, and bat house placement and installation. This workshop includes admission to Callaway Gardens, which is a $29.95 value.
